Pants on the Ground on TwitterYou likely all know that Larry Platt marched with Martin Luther King when he was a teenager so it would make sense that he would have something to say about Martin Luther King Day this year. I found this gem at RollingOut.com. This is a good one.
You know, I’d never watched The View before. And now I know why. Those women even make Barbara Walters look stupid and I know she’s not. Seriously, how could anyone sit through an hour of that inane blathering for an hour? The only reason I watched it was because I wanted to see the actual Larry Platt performance and the interview (if you can call it that). I was really disappointed that they couldn’t go a little deeper and talk to him about some of his causes, the things he believes in so strongly that he’s willing to march and demonstrate for them. They are completely amused by his story of how he saw a guy with a baby bottle and a pacifier in his mouth but they are not getting that it is more than just a funny song – it’s about the denigration of today’s youth and their willingness to be associated with things like wearing your pants on the ground. It’s about pride for your country and hard work. Do you think they could have gotten that out of him?
Damn – I’m just going to have to interview the man on my own!
General Larry Platt made his appearance on The View today and wowed the audience and The View ladies with his spectacular dance moves and his now famous song, Pants on the Ground. The View audience got to see an extended version compared to what was seen on American Idol and I have to say that Larry Platt looked very dapper in his vest and pants.
This is the first interview that I’ve seen with Larry Platt. It was done for Star 94 FM with Cindy and Ray. Larry Platt reveals that his phone messages were insane when he got home. No doubt.
